Ignacio Tornero

Ignacio  has more than 10 years of experience advising Chinese companies in the region and Latin American enterprises in their businesses in China. He has assisted state groups, private companies, start-ups, government entities, joint ventures, and educational institutions in various industries, including technology, agriculture, food & beverage, education, foreign trade, venture capital, mining, energy, forestry, construction, shipping & logistics, and more. 

Ignacio began studying Mandarin Chinese in 2006 as one of the first Chilean students to be part of a Chinese language exchange program in China. In 2011, he was the winner of the Chilean phase of the “Chinese Bridge” language contest.

Between 2009 and 2018, he spent six years living and working in China, in Nanjing, Beijing and Shanghai.

Before founding East Consulting, Ignacio helped to open and manage the Chinese branch of the largest law firm in Chile (Carey) where he also represented the prestigious multinational technology company Crystal Lagoons. He also worked as an international associate at Dacheng Dentons and Grandall Law Firm.
